Master Chemical Corporation Promotes David A. Barned to Global Marketing Manager

Perrysburg, Ohio, March 27, 2008—Master Chemical Corporation today announced the promotion of David A. Barned Product Manager – Metalworking Fluids to the position of Global Marketing Manager.  As Global Marketing Manager, Mr. Barned’s responsibilities will be expanded to include directing and coordinating global market and product opportunities. Mr. Barned will also lead Master Chemical’s global green initiative, which was launched in February 2008. “David Barned brings a keen understanding of the marketplace and a passion for customer service to this position,” said General Manager, Steven H. Sigmon. “We are extremely pleased to announce his promotion.”

As Product Manager – Metalworking Fluids, David Barned has been responsible for new product development and introduction to the marketplace. Prior to that Mr. Barned served as Director – Business Development responsible for strengthening relationships with Master Chemical’s major customers, new business development, and corporate account strategies.

David Barned joined Master Chemical Corporation in February, 1992, as Training Media Coordinator.  In 1993 he was the District Sales Manager for Indiana and then moved to become the District Sales Manager for Texas. While working as District Manager for Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri and Arkansas, he earned an MBA at Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business in Dallas, Texas. David Barned earned a BS at John Wiley Jones School of Business at the State University of New York.
