Semisynthetics
Semisynthetic fluids contain a small amount of mineral oil plus some
other additives to enhance lubricity. Semisynthetics are popular fluids
as they combine cooling and lubricity of synthetic fluids with the better
residue characteristics of emulsions. They will generally be used on the
more difficult to machine materials.

TRIM® SC415
Cutting and Grinding Fluid Concentrate

TRIM® SC415 is a lower foam, semi-synthetic coolant specifically formulated for machining and grinding of cast iron and steel. This unique formulation ensures low levels of foam not generally seen with other semi-synthetic products especially in soft water areas. This clean running formulation also prevents the loading of grinding wheels, ensuring good surface finishes and minimal burning.
- A very versatile product that works well in a wide range of operations such as grinding, milling, turning,drilling, and tapping.
- Extremely good product for cast iron and steel machining and grinding.
- Extremely fine emulsion reduces carry-off for low total operating cost.
- Fast wetting to get the fluid to the point of cut and fully coat the work piece and chips for superior corrosion prevention.
- Extremely hard water tolerant.

TRIM® SC511 is a medium oil semisynthetic concentrate designed as a general purpose multi-metal coolant for general machining of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. TRIM® SC511 has the wetting and cooling characteristics of a premium heavy-duty synthetic for superior turning, milling and grinding results. It also has sufficient lubrication for most “down-the-hole” operations on machining centers.
- A very versatile product that works well in a wide range of operations such as grinding, milling, turning, drilling, and tapping.
- Extremely good product for cast iron and steel machining and grinding.

TRIM® SC609 is a low oil semi-synthetic concentrate designed as a general purpose multi-metal coolant for general machining of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. A high content of ester lubricant ensures TRIM® SC609 gives machining performance similar to high oil emulsions whilst also having the wetting and cooling characteristics of a premium synthetic for superior grinding results.
- A very versatile product that works well in a wide range of operations such as grinding, milling, turning, drilling, and tapping.
- Extremely stable against bacteria and fungus.
- Extremely good product for cast iron, steel and stainless steel machining and grinding.
- Has sufficient lubrication for machining of aluminium alloys.
- Does not stain aluminium alloys or yellow metals.
- Extremely fine emulsion reduces carry-off for low total operating cost.

TRIM® SC617 is a semi-synthetic concentrate designed as a general purpose multi-metal coolant for general machining of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. TRIM® SC617 uses a proven EP additive package to control built-up edge, improve tool life, and has the wetting and cooling characteristics for superior turning, milling and grinding results. It also has sufficient lubrication for most “down-the-hole” operations on machining centers even on softer, more gummy materials like aluminium.
- A very versatile product that works well in a wide range of operations such as grinding, sawing, milling, turning, drilling, and tapping.
- Extremely good product for cast iron, steel and stainless steel machining and grinding.
- Low foam profile enables use in through tool machining applications.

TRIM® SC9030
High-lubricity Semisynthetic

TRIM® SC9030 is a high-oil semi-synthetic coolant. This product provides the cooling, rust inhibition and wetting of a premium synthetic with the mechanical lubricity and machine "friendliness" of a soluble oil. SC9030 is well suited for general high-speed machining and grinding of all materials.
- Compatible with a very wide range of materials including cast iron, steels, copper, aluminum alloys, and many plastics and composites
- Provides superior corrosion inhibition on cast iron and other ferrous and nonferrous materials; and eliminates the "hot chip" and clinkering problems often seen when machining cast iron
