CL-1 Titration Kit
Master Chemical titration kit CL-1 is used to check the concentration of Master STAGES™ aqueous cleaners and corrosion inhibitors.

Master STAGES™ CID 5140
Inhibited Acidic Detergent for Metal Cleaning and Rust Removal
Master STAGES™ CID 5140 is an inhibited phosphoric acid for the removal of rust and oxidation on ferrous materials and surfaces. It is easy to manage and out performs its competitors in difficult rust removal applications. Once the oxidation has been removed, an acid neutralization rinse or bath like Master STAGES™ CLEAN 2029 may be required.

Master STAGES™ CLEAN 2012
Low-foaming, Nonsilicated Cleaner for Aluminum and Multi-metal
Master STAGES™ CLEAN 2012 is a highly-concentrated cleaner built for spray washing aluminum and other metals at ambient to slightly elevated temperatures. The mild pH of this product means it is compatible with most waste treatment (including ultrafiltration) and it does not contain boron, phenols, or silicates.

  • With a mild pH, CLEAN 2012 will not cause staining on aluminum or yellow metals
  • Formulated without silicates or other high pH additives, CLEAN 2012 is compatible with ultrafiltration systems and bio-remediation
  • An excellent choice where one product is used for multiple metals, as it is compatible with both ferrous and nonferrous materials (except magnesium)
  • Hard water tolerant, CLEAN 2012 has only moderate foam at room temperature
  • Contains no borates or nitrites, no SARA 313 or EPA 33/50 listed ingredients and contains no butyl cellosolve

Master STAGES™ CLEAN 2017
Economical Heavy-duty Spray Cleaner
Master STAGES™ CLEAN 2017 is an economical heavy-duty spray cleaner that removes heavy soils and oily residues from ferrous and magnesium parts. Often used in rebuild operations and for cleaning up cast iron, stamped or drawn steel parts, or removing heavy RP coatings.

  • Very economical way to remove heavy soils and light rust
  • Low foaming at ambient temperatures, and even lower when used above 120°F (49°C)
  • Can be recycled using XYBEX® equipment
  • Contains no solvents, borates, silicates, nitrites, or amines
  • Long bath life
  • Excellent compatibility with magnesium

Master STAGES™ CLEAN 2020
Washing Compound for Ultrasonic and Immersion Washers
Master STAGES™ CLEAN 2020 is a concentrated, very high performance cleaner made for washing all metals including brass, copper alloy, and aluminum in ultrasonic or immersion washers. Its cleaning ability is extraordinary, which often leads to shorter cleaning cycles or elimination of cleaning steps. CLEAN 2020’s oil rejecting properties mean longer bath life and economical operation.

  • Excellent cleaning in immersion and ultrasonic tanks
  • Long life because oils split rapidly to the surface of your cleaner tank where they can be skimmed off
  • An excellent choice where one product is used for multiple purposes; such as washing mixed batches of ferrous, aluminum, and copper alloy parts

Master STAGES™ CLEAN 2023 “Big Al”
Washing Fluid for Aluminum and Multi-Metal Parts
Master STAGES™ CLEAN 2023 “Big Al” is a highly-concentrated liquid, parts-washing compound/corrosion inhibitor for use in spray washers. This product is safe and effective on aluminum alloy and steel alloy parts, as well as cast iron. CLEAN 2023 “Big Al” provides good detergency and long life for the removal of coolants, straight oils, corrosion inhibitors, and all types of metalworking fluids.

  • Inhibits darkening or smutting of aluminum alloys even at elevated temperatures
  • Excellent choice for two- or three-stage spray washers and can be used for washing steel, stainless, cast iron, titanium, and aluminum alloys
  • Provides long bath life
  • Environmental approvals are simplified because CLEAN 2023 “Big Al” contains no nitrites, barium, phenols, or butyl cellosolve; this formula has very low V.O.C. content and no SARA 313 reportable ingredients

Master STAGES™ CLEAN 2029 “One Step”
Parts Washing Fluid with Corrosion Inhibitor
Master STAGES™ CLEAN 2029 “One Step” is a highly concentrated cleaner/corrosion inhibitor designed for spray washers and immersion tanks. This product will remove heavy soils and provide two-to-four weeks of indoor corrosion inhibition on steel and cast iron parts.

  • Formulated without silicates or other high pH additives, CLEAN 2029 “One Step” is compatible with ultrafiltration systems and bioremediation
  • An excellent choice for cabinet-style spray washers and can be used for washing steel, stainless, cast iron, titanium, and many aluminum alloys
  • Hard water tolerant, it provides long bath life
  • Environmental approvals are simplified because CLEAN 2029 “One Step” contains no nitrites, barium, phenols, or butyl cellusolve; this formula has very low V.O.C. content and no SARA 313 reportable ingredients

Master STAGES™ CLEAN 2030
Cleaner/Corrosion Inhibitor for Ultrasonic and Immersion Washers
Master STAGES™ CLEAN 2030 is a concentrated, very high-performance cleaner made for washing iron and steel parts and applying a short-term corrosion inhibitor in single-stage ultrasonic or immersion washers. Its cleaning ability is extraordinary which often leads to shorter cleaning cycles or elimination of cleaning steps. CLEAN 2030’s oil-rejecting properties mean longer bath life and economical operation. CLEAN 2030 can also wash most other metals including brass, copper alloy, aluminum, zinc, and magnesium.

  • Excellent cleaning in immersion and ultrasonic tanks
  • Long life because oils split rapidly to the surface of your cleaner tank where they can be skimmed off

Master STAGES™ CLEAN 2115
Low-foam Spray Washing Compound
Master STAGES™ CLEAN 2115 is a high-performance, low-foam spray washing compound for use in very high-pressure spray washers, de-burring, and water jet cutting. Advanced surfactant technology provides excellent foam control, tramp oil rejection, and soil removal while leaving a short-term, anticorrosive film on cast iron or steel parts and washer surfaces.

  • Compatible with a wide range of materials including cast iron, steels, zinc, plastics, and composites
  • When washing aluminum parts above 100F (40°C) consider using Master STAGES™ CLEAN 2115AL
  • Does not foam even when contaminated with large quantities of soils or coolant. This makes CLEAN 2115 an excellent choice where rapid buildup of coolant carryover creates a foam problem
  • Many CLEAN 2115 applications are in the range of 1500 to 3000 PSI (100 to 200kPa)
  • Provides excellent short-term corrosion inhibition on most common ferrous alloys
  • Extremely low carryoff keeps operating costs down

Master STAGES™ CLEAN 2115AL
Low-foam Spray Washing Compound
Master STAGES™ CLEAN 2115AL is an aluminum compatible, high-performance, low-foam synthetic washing compound for use in very high-pressure spray washers, de-burring, and water jet cutting. Advanced surfactant technology provides excellent foam control and tramp oil rejection.

  • Compatible with a wide range of materials including aluminum, cast iron, steels, zinc, plastics, and composites
  • Resists foaming even when contaminated with large quantities of soils or coolant. This makes CLEAN 2115AL an excellent choice where rapid buildup of coolant carryover creates a foam problem
  • Many CLEAN 2115AL applications are in the range of 3,000 to 10,000 PSI (200 to 660 kPa)
  • Provides short term corrosion inhibition on cast iron and ferrous alloys

Master STAGES™ CLEAN 2430
Near-neutral Washing Compound
Master STAGES™ CLEAN 2430 is a highly-concentrated, mild pH, liquid-parts washing compound/corrosion inhibitor made for aluminum alloy and steel alloy parts as well as cast iron, copper, brass, and bronze. This product does a great job in single and multi-stage spray washers providing great detergency and long life. CLEAN 2430 may be used in medium and high-pressure spray washers and provides in process corrosion inhibition when not rinsed.

  • CLEAN 2430 provides state-of-the-art cleaning performance in a mild pH package
  • Nitrite and silicate free and leaves no powdery residue
  • Low foaming at normal operating temperatures for use in high-pressure spray washers
  • CLEAN 2430 “splits” oils to the surface of the cleaner tank for easy skimming
  • Is very hard-water stable and an excellent choice where ferrous, aluminum, and copper alloy parts are being washed in a single washer system
  • Has a mild pH and provides a week or more of indoor anti-corrosion for ferrous metals if not rinsed
  • Provides long life between washer cleanouts

 
Master STAGES™ CLEAN 3011
Residue-free, Multi-metal Cleaner
Master STAGES™ CLEAN 3011 is a concentrated multi-purpose fluid that excels as a liquid parts washing compound or corrosion inhibitor and does not foam even at room temperature in high-pressure spray washers. It will remove light oils and water soluble cutting and grinding fluid residues and leave behind a thin rust inhibiting film for in-process corrosion inhibition of ferrous parts. CLEAN 3011 is also safe for use on aluminum alloy, copper, brass, bronze, and zinc. CLEAN 3011 is an excellent choice in cast iron operations where it can be used for cleaning and rust inhibition with excellent biostability.

  • Silicate, phosphate, and boron free and leaves no powdery residue
  • Low foaming for use in high-pressure spray washers or grinders and has excellent hard water stability
  • Has a moderate pH, excellent anti-corrosion, and does not require rinsing, making it an excellent short term, in-process corrosion inhibitor
  • This product maintains its alkalinity and biostability for long periods of time and will tolerate stagnant conditions such as leak test baths. It is also used in hydrostatic leak testing applications

 
Master STAGES™ CLEAN 7140HD
Heavy-duty, Alkaline Degreaser for Spray and Immersion
Master STAGES™ CLEAN 7140HD is a highly concentrated, heavy-duty spray cleaner specially designed for removing heavy grease and oil residues from ferrous parts. CLEAN 7140HD is an ideal choice for remanufacturing/rebuilding operations.

  • CLEAN 7140HD provides exceptional cleaning for removing heavy grease and oil residues without the use of solvents
  • Also compatible with many magnesium and zinc alloys as well as galvanized materials
  • Low foaming when used above 120°F
  • CLEAN 7140HD contains no V.O.C.
  • Can be recycled using XYBEX® equipment
  • Contains no solvents, borates, silicates, nitrites, phosphates, EDTA, NPEs, or amines
  • Typically provides one to three days of in-process corrosion inhibition on ferrous parts if not rinsed

 
CLEAN AMO™Master STAGES™ CLEAN AMO<sup>™</sup>
Natural-solvent Cleaner and Degreaser
Master STAGES™ CLEAN AMO™ A maize N Orange™ is a natural-solvent cleaner that can be mixed with water and used for a wide range of industrial cleaning jobs. CLEAN AMO does an outstanding job removing oily, greasy, or resinous soils at room temperature.

  • New upgrade has lower foam, lower odor, safer/higher flash point, and is free from dyes and perfumes
  • CLEAN AMO cleans with natural solvents extracted from corn (maize) and oranges (d-limonene), along with several additional ingredients that improve performance and water mixability
  • With a neutral pH and low conductivity, AMO will not cause splitting of TRIM® coolants
  • Formulated without silicate, phosphates, amines, high pH additives, or biocides, CLEAN AMO is compatible with ultrafiltration systems and bioremediation
  • Unlike most water-mixable degreasers, CLEAN AMO does not require heating to remove greases and resins
  • AMO can be used straight (100%) or cut back with water depending on the application
  • There are no mineral oils or petroleum solvents in CLEAN AMO
  • AMO can be used for general cleaning tasks and to remove soils from parts, tools, and machines

Master STAGES™ CLEAN B1
Booster for High-performance Spray Cleaning
Master STAGES™ CLEAN B1 is a highly concentrated blend of surfactants (surface-active agents) designed to add cleaning power to high-pressure spray washers without causing excessive foaming. The product may be added to a wide range of Master STAGES™ alkaline cleaners to boost cleaning power.

  • CLEAN B1 contains no borates, phosphates, nitrites, or amines
  • CLEAN B1 is low foaming when used above 115°F
  • This product is an excellent choice where both ferrous and/or copper alloy parts are being processed
  • CLEAN B1 will not stain aluminum parts
  • CLEAN B1 is odorless
  • Highly caustic cleaners often produce “soaps” as a part of their cleaning action; CLEAN B1 is very effective at reducing foam resulting from the formation of these soaps
  • Cleaner bath life can often be extended by using small doses of CLEAN B1; this product is particularly effective in removing oily soils, but will not affect the “split” of oils in Master STAGES™ CLEAN 2430

 
Master STAGES™ CLEAN DF1
Antifoam for Master STAGES™ Cleaners
Master STAGES™ CLEAN DF1 is a paintable, non-dimethyl polysiloxane antifoaming agent designed to eliminate excessive foaming in Master STAGES™ products. This product does not require premixing.

  • Compatible with most Master STAGES cleaners and most water-based metalworking fluids
  • Odorless and does not cause staining
  • Contains no phenols, borates, phosphates, nitrites, or amines

Non-butyl Floor and Multi-purpose Cleaner
Master STAGES™ CLEAN F2™
Master STAGES™ CLEAN F2™ is a super concentrate that does an outstanding job in floor cleaning and other multi-purpose uses. In addition to its primary job in automatic floor scrubbers, it is often used for general-purpose cleaning, mop bucket cleaning, and parts washing in room temperature wash tanks. The mild pH of this product means it is compatible with most waste treatment (including ultrafiltration) and it will not degrade TRIM® metalworking fluids with which it may come into incidental contact.

  • With a mild pH and low conductivity, CLEAN F2 will not cause splitting of TRIM® coolants
  • Formulated without silicates or other high pH additives, CLEAN F2 is compatible with ultrafiltration systems and bioremediation
  • CLEAN F2 has been proven nonirritating to skin at 20% concentration
  • An excellent choice for packaging in spray bottles up to 20%
  • Can be used for general cleaning tasks and to remove soils from parts and tools
  • Operators like CLEAN F2’s mild, pleasant citrus scent
  • Environmental approvals are simplified because CLEAN F2 contains no nitrites, barium, phenols, or butyl cellusolve; this formula has very low V.O.C. content and no SARA 313 reportable ingredients
  • An effective “mop bucket” cleaner in addition to use in floor scrubber machines

Master STAGES™ CLEAN IP 2019s
Silicated Low-foam Cleaner
master STAGES™ CLEAN IP 2019s is a very low-foaming, liquid, cleaning concentrate designed to remove straight oils and coolants from steel, cast iron, and most aluminum parts.

  • An excellent cleaner and very economical to use
  • Compatible with aluminum, magnesium, cast iron, and steel alloys
  • Rejects oil for easy skimming or centrifuging to extend bath life
  • Nonfoaming at high-pressure in a spray washer and vibratory deburring machines even at room temperature
  • Provides flash corrosion inhibition and up to two weeks of short term, dry, in-process corrosion inhibition

 
Master STAGES™ CLEAN IP 2026PF
Phosphate-free Cleaner
Master STAGES™ CLEAN IP 2026PF is a highly concentrated liquid parts-washing compound for use in spray and immersion washers, including ultrasonics. This product is safe and effective on aluminum alloys and steel parts, as well as cast iron, brass, zinc, titanium, and magnesium. CLEAN IP 2026PF provides good detergency and long life for the removal of coolants, straight oils, corrosion inhibitors, and all types of metalworking fluids. CLEAN IP 2026PF has been found to be highly useful in the diverse and difficult cleaning applications found within engine and transmission remanufacturing operations.

  • Prevents flash rusting on steel or cast iron parts if not rinsed
  • In many cases it minimizes or eliminates the need for multiple cleaning products since it is very effective in spray and immersion application. Excellent choice for two- or three-stage washer systems.
  • Provides long bath life
  • Environmental approvals are simplified because CLEAN IP 2026PF contains no nitrites, barium, phenols, phosphates, or butyl cellusolve; this formula is NPE free and has no SARA 313 reportable ingredients
  • Low foaming for use in high-pressure spray washers when used above 120˚F

 
Master STAGES™ NOCOR® E6
Low V.O.C. Emulsion Corrosion Inhibitor Concentrate
Master STAGES™ NOCOR® E6 is a super-concentrated, barium-free, water-based emulsion rust inhibitor that will protect steel, cast iron, and other ferrous parts from in-plant corrosion for up to six months. Parts coated with NOCOR E6 have a soft, almost invisible film that is easily removed using mild cleaners.

  • Environmental approvals are simplified because NOCOR E6 is nitrite, barium, boron, phenol, and phosphate free
  • NOCOR E6 is low foaming, for use in low-pressure spray washers and flow coating operations. Dip application is also a good way to apply this product
  • An excellent choice where both ferrous and/or copper alloy parts are being processed
  • NOCOR E6 has a moderate pH, is practically odorless, and is nonflammable for improved safety
  • Working concentration ranges from 4%-16% which translates into much lower cost than traditional straight oil/solvent products

 
Master STAGES™NOCOR® O2
Barium-free, Low Odor, Corrosion Inhibitor
Master STAGES™ NOCOR® O2 is a barium-free, nonstaining, water displacing, thin-film corrosion inhibitor or rust preventative which can be used on a variety of metals. NOCOR® O2 is designed to provide indoor corrosion inhibition. NOCOR® O2 provides excellent protection for bearings and other precision parts, in-process parts in storage, as well as parts in transit.

  • Barium free
  • Light film for limited carry-off
  • Excellent corrosion inhibition, generally in excess of two months in dry storage
  • High flashpoint
  • Nonstaining
  • Water displacing to help prevent rust due to water trapped under the protective film
  • Oxidation resistant to resist tarnishing over long storage periods

Master STAGES™ NOCOR® S2
Water-soluble Corrosion Inhibitor
Master STAGES™ NOCOR® S2 is a synthetic, water soluble, ferrous corrosion inhibitor for short-term storage or shipment. Effective at concentrations from 3%–10% in water, it provides a very thin, water soluble protective film.

  • The transparent film left by NOCOR® S2 is easily removed and will not interfere with additional machining, gauging, or assembly steps
  • Barium-free and contains very low levels of volatile organic compounds as applied

 
Master STAGES™ RINSE 100
Mild Alkaline Detergent
Master STAGES™ RINSE 100 is a washing compound concentrate that does a great job of removing metalworking fluids and light oily films. This product will not stain ferrous or nonferrous materials and leaves an extremely thin film corrosion inhibitor, which does not interfere with gauging of parts. RINSE 100 is compatible with the TRIM® family of cutting and grinding fluid concentrates.

  • Compatible with all aluminum, magnesium, copper alloys, steel, and cast iron
  • An effective machine cleaner and also a great product for general cleaning of loose tools and parts
  • An excellent product for use in ultrasonic cleaner systems, as well as immersion washers
  • Provides up to one week or more of in-process corrosion inhibition on ferrous parts

 
Master STAGES™ RPO 12
Long-term Corrosion Inhibitor
Master STAGES™ RPO 12 is a long-term, indoor rust preventative with a soft waxy film. RPO 12 is compatible with all metals and can be applied by dip, spray, or brush-on methods. The film thickness will be approximately eight microns.

  • Humidity Cabinet Test: No rust @ 1400 hours (ASTM D1748)
  • Salt Spray Test: No rust @ 168 hr. (ASTM B117)

Barium-free, Low Odor, Corrosion Inhibitor
Master STAGES™ RPO 6BF
Master STAGES™ RPO 6BF is a barium-free, nonstaining, water displacing, thin-film corrosion inhibitor or rust preventative which can be used on a variety of metals. RPO 6BF is designed to provide indoor corrosion inhibition. RPO 6BF provides excellent protection for bearings and other precision parts, in-process parts in storage, as well as parts in transit.

  • Light film for limited carryoff
  • Excellent corrosion inhibition, generally in excess of six months in dry storage
  • Nonstaining and RPO 6BF will provide cleaning action as well

Master STAGES™ SkidRid™
Butyl-free, Phosphate-free Floor & Multi-purpose Cleaner/Degreaser
Master STAGES™ SkidRid™ is a highly concentrated cleaner built for multiple uses including floor cleaning and general degreasing. In addition to automatic floor scrubbers, it does a great job in general purpose cleaning, mop bucket cleaning, and parts washing in room-temperature wash tanks. SkidRid is completely free of 2-butoxyethanol (Butyl) and is not reportable under SARA section 313.

  • Specially formulated to lift off stubborn tire marks – pre-application from a spray bottle followed by power floor scrubbing can often deal with the most difficult areas
  • Contains no 2-butoxyethanol (Butyl), an ingredient of increasing concern often found in products of this type
  • All of the ingredients used in SkidRid are biodegradable
  • Economical to use because it is very highly concentrated - a little bit goes a long way
  • Can be used for general cleaning tasks and to remove soils from parts and tools
  • Hard water tolerant, SkidRid has a mild, pleasant scent

High-powered, Non-butyl Floor Cleaner Super Concentrate
Master STAGES™ Skramex™ is a super concentrated, high-powered cleaner designed for factory floor cleaning and heavy maintenance cleaning, particularly in metalworking or rebuild shops and mills. This product is highly caustic and capable of emulsifying even the most difficult floor soils such as those used in machining, drawing, stamping, foundries, and mills. Skramex is specially formulated without “butyl” to eliminate government reporting requirements.

  • Economical because it is super concentrated, Skramex will clean most soils at concentrations of 0.5% or less when used in a power floor scrubber

Low-foam Machine Tool Sump and System Cleaner

Master STAGES™ Whamex XT™ is a low foam, safe, fast-acting, concentrated formula that will save machine cleaning downtime while removing the oily residues, scums, and insoluble soap deposits that reduce coolant life. Whamex XT™ is made for cleaning out machine tool sumps and larger systems, coolant supply lines, and coolant recycling equipment. Whamex XT™ is compatible with most waste treatment (including ultrafiltration) and will not degrade TRIM® metalworking fluids when used as directed.

  • A very specialized formula that draws on Master Chemical’s knowledge of coolant formulation and many years of hands-on experience in machine cleanouts
  • Quickly breaks down and lifts off insoluble scum deposits hidden in lines and difficult to reach areas - getting rid of these residues is one of the best ways to extend coolant life in your system
  • Very hard water tolerant allowing it to be effective in raw water or used coolant

  • PREFERRED METHOD FOR CLEANING MACHINE TOOLS AND CENTRAL SYSTEMS
  • Add 1%-3% Whamex XT™ into the machine sump and run machine as normal for at least 24 hours or more for best results. If the machine runs high pressure through-the-tool for significant amounts of time, the cleaner may cause some foam, keep a defoamer, such as Master STAGES™ DF1 or TRIM® TC 239, available during this process.
  • After the Whamex XT™ has circulated for at least 24 hours, pump out the sump and remove all chips, sludge, residue and swarf. Remember to clean out overflow areas and flumes.
  • Spray down the machine with a 10%-15% Whamex XT™ and water solution using The Whammer™ or a general-purpose garden sprayer. Scrub out the chips, sludge, and any other residues from all interior, exterior, tool changer areas including high-pressure sumps and filter canisters.
  • When possible, pull out the sump and remove the conveyor, and clean all surfaces of the sump and conveyor including screens, covers and the pumps themselves with the 10%-15% Whamex XT™ solution. When complete remove all fluid, chips swarf, grime and sludge.
  • Fill the sump with enough water to circulate the pumps and mix in 3%-5% Whamex XT™. Circulate this cleaning solution through the coolant system for 30-60 minutes.
  • Replace conveyor and sump; rinse the machine with water and 1.0% TRIM® coolant for rust protection, and circulate mixture through the coolant system for 10-30 minutes.
  • Pump out the rinse water as dry as possible and recharge with fresh TRIM® coolant at the designated concentration.
  • After circulating for 30 minutes check the concentration and make the necessary adjustments to insure the TRIM® coolant is within the designated concentration range.

  • QUICK CLEANING METHOD (FOR NONCRITICAL INTERIM CLEANING)
  • Add 1%-3% Whamex XT™ and circulate for 24 hours or more for best results. If the machine runs high-pressure through-the-tool for significant amounts of time, the cleaner may cause some foam, keep a defoamer, such as DF1 or TC 239, available during this process.
  • Utilizing The Whammer™, scrub down the machine including the inside, tool changer, exterior and crevices
  • Remove fluid sump and chip conveyor when possible and clean out all chips and swarf (Don’t forget pumps, covers, high-pressure tanks and filter canisters)
  • Replace conveyor and sump and rinse with 1% TRIM® coolant for 10-30 minutes
  • Remove 1% rinse fluid and recharge at specified concentration
