TRIM® TC 248pH Adjuster RELEASED: 2009-02-20
TRIM® TC 248 is an amine-based pH adjuster used to replenish depleted alkalinity in metalworking fluid working solutions.
TC 248 is usually added at concentrations between 0.05% - 0.25% (50 – 2,500 ppm) to help maintain pH, improve corrosion inhibition, and improve emulsion stability. A 0.1% add of TRIM TC 248 will typically increase the pH of a 7.0 pH fluid to approximately 8.0 - 8.5.
Overuse of this product may cause ammonia and/or amine blush; therefore, care should be taken not to exceed recommended add rates.
As formulated, TC 248 does not contain MEA, DEA, TEA, Cu, or Boron.

Tramp oil is a major source of problems associated with water miscible cutting and grinding fluids.

Numerous devices (“floating ropes,” wheels, and belts) have been developed over the years to remove “free floating“ tramp oil from the surface of coolant. To overcome the shortcomings of existing tramp oil skimming devices, Master Chemical has introduced the SCROUNGER® Oil Skimmer.
